Sera joins New Deal Strategies after several years in U.S. Representative Diana DeGette’s office, where she worked on portfolios including housing and reproductive healthcare. Sera understands that politics is personal, and her lived experience with higher education and economic security issues in underrepresented communities initially sparked her passion for political work. Her advocacy began as part of a civic engagement program focused on expanding opportunities for legislative and community action. 

Sera is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a Political Science focus.
