Communications Fellow – Summer 2025

New Deal Strategies is now accepting applications for a summer Communications Fellow.

What You’ll Be Doing
New Deal Strategies is seeking an organized, energetic, and passionate individual to be a summer Communications Fellow on our General Consulting team. This is a part-time position from late May-early September (exact dates flexible).

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching, drafting, editing press releases, memos, and pitches.
  • Assisting with daily clips for our clients.
  • Brainstorming and designing graphic content for social media platforms and creative outreach.
  • Helping with daily internal and external office operations.

Who You Are

  • Strong writer, with experience in editing, copyediting, and/or content creation.
  • Self-starters – you will learn on the job. We are fast-paced and want to work with other determined people.
  • Flexible workers – politics is not 9-5. You may need to work flexible hours. Fellows work up to 20 hours per week.
  • College student or recent graduate.
  • Not necessary but ideal: on-camera content creation experience, Spanish speaker.

Location: Applicants must be based in NYC for the duration of the fellowship. New Deal Strategies operates on a hybrid schedule.

Classification & Salary: This is a part-time, paid fellowship with an expected 20 hour per week commitment. Fellows will be paid $20/hour.
